**Yard / machine operatives for a well established Steel company in Scunthorpe.**

SC4 are looking for yard and machine operators due to continued expansion and rapidly increasing workload. The role will involve assisting with machinery such as a straightening press, cambering press and splitting machine, as well as using over head cranes and forklifts to load/unload and shunt material. General housekeeping of the yard and warehouses, with the opportunity to learn and operate the CNC machines which consist of 2 saw/drill lines, a plate processing machine, and our new state of the art plasma coping robot (which is the first of it's kind in the UK).

**About You**:
The individual must have a flexible and dynamic approach to working hours willing and able to work a permanent 2-10 PM shift with overtime as and when required.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Essential;-**
- Ability to accurately use measuring equipment (metric) and strong numerical skills
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Excellent time keeping and attendance, positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Preferential;-**
- Experience in the steel industry & over head crane

**Working Hours**:

- Monday - Friday 2PM - 10PM. Overtime available and often required to meet the needs of the business - o/t is paid at 1hr 45mins

PLEASE NOTE: Random alcohol and drug testing is regularly carried out.
