**Associate Director of Structures and Civils**

**Salary**: £60,000 to £70,000 per annum, experience dependant.

**Location**: Hybrid and flexible working arrangement, with home working and in our Northallerton or Otley office, including some travel to other sites.

**Contract**: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Due to our continued steady expansion, there is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Structural and Civil Engineering to join our multi discipline workforce. You will direct teams of Engineers and Technicians and be central to leading and overseeing building schemes, working collaboratively with other disciplines efficiently and effectively.

You will use your significant management experience and engineering knowledge to work as a discipline lead for project and discipline delivery, lead the planning of project work and resource distribution of the Structural and Civil Engineering teams. You will successfully oversee technical delivery from feasibility to completion, while maintaining resource and financial management and developing the team’s skills.

You will be at the heart of Align Property Partners as we continue to grow. With a strong order book and great variety of work, this role also offers the opportunity to develop the business with new project and client opportunities. You will lead and support a very busy and professional team who have a record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets and whose passion and determination leads them to continually improve the service they provide. We actively encourage staff development which means you will have responsibility to manage, mentor and grow a team of Engineers.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

- A degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Significant amount of post-qualification experience in building projects
- Experience managing project delivery and providing leadership within an engineering consultancy
- Skilled in leading and coordinating structural and civil detailed building designs and specifications using relevant delivery methods and software packages
- Great IT skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with clients and external consultants
- Currently a Chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or the Institution of Civil Engineers
- Fully competent in the conceptual and detailed design of structural and civil engineering projects, including new build projects, renovations of existing structures, survey schemes, earthworks, roads and drainage
- Working knowledge of relevant UK standards, Eurocodes, Building Regulations, adoptable standards and section agreements
- Proficient at resource and financial management with ability to work with clients to produce required scopes of works and fee proposals
- Actively progress business development opportunities and maintain existing client relationships
