Are you a Credit Control Manager or Collections Manager looking for your next challenge?

Our business continues to evolve, and we are now seeking a Collections Team Lead to join Financial Services and help shape this brand-new team As a Collections Team Lead, you will play a critical role in managing and motivating our collections team to deliver a great outcome for the customer and our clients, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. You will lead by example, using your expertise to develop strategies for efficient debt recovery and provide guidance to team members. This is unique opportunity to support the build and growth of this team and make your mark.

This role is based from our Stockton-on-Tees hub, 2-3 days a week required in the office after training, 7.5 hours a day between 8am-6pm.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Management of the cash collection team and the back office team
- Review and maintenance of collection rates, strategies and outcomes; working to improve recovery rates through changes and improvements to process
- Collating and producing/analysing statistical data/reports as required
- Managing and scheduling own and team work to required timescales and to achieve performance targets
- Daily reconciliation of collections including Direct Debit, Card Payments and Cheque’s
- Coaching, leadership, and management of staff.
- Raise any issues of service incidents in a timely manner to ensure senior management are informed and ensuring incidents are investigated
- The delivery of continuous improvement initiatives to drive client satisfaction and recovery improvements
- Ensuring the team understands the role of Sopra Steria Financial Services in the delivery of debt collection services to our clients and our obligations to them and the Managed Service Provider

**What you’ll bring**:

- Experience of managing an Order to Cash, Accounts Receivable, Transactional or Debt Recovery team, with proven success with medium to large teams
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities, to strict deadlines and with minimum supervision
- Analytical and problem-solving approach
- Ability to make decisions
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Experience of coaching others

**It would be great if you had**:

- Experience or understanding of file integrations
- An understanding of Direct Debit processes and guidelines
- Experience of Sage or other Finance ERPs
- Experience working within a multi-client environment
- Reporting experience/monthly management deliverables to time
