Experienced Rake Hand

We are currently expanding the team and have vacancies for a experienced Rake Hand. This is a role that various from day to day and involves working with the existing team completing a mixture of projects of various sizes and time scales.
- Experience with laying asphalt surfacing is essential.
- Experience of using a pedestal roller and Bomag sit on.
- Hand laying and rake hand.
- Experience with Tarmac laying machines (desirable).
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Motivated and well organised.
- CSCS relevant qualification.
- CPCS / NPORS Roller ticket.
- Ability and desire to learn.
- Desire to maintain high quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
- SMSTS or SSSTS or IOSH (desirable)

**Duties of work to include**:

- Reporting directly to the Gang Foreman and Contracts Manager.
- Assisting the Foreman with daily responsibilities as requested.
- Laying of Asphalt products and kerbs.
- Block paving.
- Levelling stone.
- Ground works.
- Driving/operating various machinery associated with road surfacing.
- General day to day duties.
- Use of power and hand tools.
- Adhering to on-site Health and Safety policies and procedures.
