**Contract type**: Permanent

**Work pattern**: 150 hours per year, Term time only (38 weeks)

**Salary information**:POB, £4,082 - £4,469 per annum

We are looking for a Clerk to the Governing Body to join our dynamic and successful school. The post holder must be flexible in their approach to the post as there are no fixed pattern of working hours. The Clerk must be able to attend daytime and evening meetings, make regular visits to school and work from home to complete administrative and research duties.
- Provide advice to the Governing Body on governance, constitutional, procedural and other matters in regards to the functioning of the Governing Body;
- Liaise with the Chair of the Governors and the Headteacher to ensure that the Governing Body functions effectively;
- Provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body and its committees;
- Ensure the Governing Body is properly constituted;
- Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements;
- Have knowledge of school governance and data protection;
- Have proven administrative experience including preparing agendas, minute taking, record keeping and writing reports and letters with excellent ICT skills, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Be well organised, able to prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy;
- Work positively as a member of a team with enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment;
- Be committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the principles and practice of equal opportunities;
- Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all children.
