Fabricator/fitter

On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a **Fabricator/Fitter** to join our busy team based in **Brownhills Area.**

**Your daily duties will include **(but are not limited to):

- Assembling and building plate and tube fabrication from 6mm to 40mm plate
- Manufacturing production jigs
- TIG tack welding including bridging tacks
- Be able to deconstruct a fabrication drawing
- Creating cutting lists from engineering drawings
- Levelling or setting of distorted components
- Setting out layouts for large jobs
- Using an overhead crane (training provided)
- Checking the quality and dimensional accuracy of metal parts before assembling them
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Will ideally have been apprentice trained
- Be able to correct distortion in angles and tubes using oxyacetylene equipment
- Have the ability to read, draw and interpret complex drawings

**Working hours**:
**Monday - Thursday 7:55 - 16:30**
**Friday: 7:55 - 13:30**

**Salary: £14-16 per hour** (depending on experience).
