This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated HVDC professional to join the Corio’s rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.

Our 20+ GW offshore wind development portfolio is one of the largest in the world, spanning established and emerging markets, as well as floating and traditional fixed-bottom technologies. These next generation offshore wind projects will help form the backbone of the net-zero global energy system while meeting the energy needs of communities and corporate offtakers sustainably, reliably, safely and responsibly.

Corio Generation is a Green Investment Group (GIG) portfolio company, operating on a standalone basis. GIG is a specialist green investor within Macquarie Asset Management, part of Macquarie Group.

**Responsibilities**

The **core responsibilities** for this role will include:

- Provide specialist input to design reviews on Corio’s portfolio to assure quality and risk management.
- Support Corio’s project teams with specialist input. Likely to include design strategy, resource planning, bidder evaluation and design documentation review.
- Support engagement with suppliers and assessment of market conditions to develop and maintain a portfolio sourcing strategy.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and innovations to support the development of Corio’s technology roadmaps.
- Support engagement with suppliers and assessment of market conditions.
- Support with the development and implementation of relevant WHSES policies.
- Support the O&M team to develop effective strategies relating to site operation.
- Support the development and maintenance of Corio’s relevant cost and risk models.
- You may also be asked to undertake some package management, if required.

**Skills and experience**
- HVDC systems design and engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, system operation and maintenance and research and development.
- In-depth knowledge of HVDC technologies, converter stations, power electronics and control systems.
- Deep familiarity with at least one OEM HVDC offering.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and guidelines (e.g., IEC, IEEE, CIGRE).
- Knowledge of system interfaces and impacts on HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC substation design.
- Understanding of offshore wind development.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently - demonstrating a service minded approach to work.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Able to respond quickly to changing environment.
- Comfortable working with little structure and oversight and able to set own goals, based on team/corporate objectives.
