**About the role**
- Whole equipment (vehicle/aircraft/weapons) environmental / test facilities
- Energetics trials, test and analysis systems
- Weapons test or evaluaton systems at MOD ranges
- Control, monitoring, sensing systems in use at MOD ranges
- Security, safety and data/information network systems at MOD ranges.
- Bespoke equipment development and installation
- Development of specialist buildings, facilities and their services/equipment.

Subject matter is diverse and several roles are available; a range of experience can be accommodated, with projects scaling from the small / simple to high value / complex. You will need to visit project sites, suppliers and stakeholders across UK in linewith project need; ideally roles are based at either Fort Halstead, Shoeburyness, Farnborough or Boscombe Down.

**What do I need?**

You are likely have an interest in one or more of; bespoke equipment development, control and display systems, safety systems, secure networking, sensing/monitoring systems, voice and image systems, weapon systems testing and evaluation, environmental testsystems, infrastructure development, site security, IT infrastructure, site utilities and services.

You will have a track record of using systems engineering methodologies, having experience working all the way through the engineering lifecycle.

**What will I be doing?**

You will be actively scoping, defining and delivering safe and fit for purpose technical solutions following systems engineering methodologies. The work covers the whole lifecycle, although you may have a specialism within this, and draw on others to complementskills where necessary. Projects may be simple or complex; they start with understanding current capability and stakeholder needs, eliciting and defining system requirements, and mapping back to end customer needs (MOD). You will be responsible for scopingsolutions, estimating costs, structuring and defining technical work packages, performing trade studies, writing specifications and statements of work, and preparing technical content of gate reviews.

During solution delivery you will be defining interfaces, reviewing design detail, defining test and acceptance activity, working with technical teams and sub-contractors on system design traceability, ensuring the system solution is coherent and meets safety,security and system requirements, with evidence generated to meet certification and transition to service.
