Freelance Art Curator

D31 Art Gallery has an opportunity for an aspiring/experienced Freelance Art Curator to work in our new Exhibition/Retail Space in Frenchgate Shopping Centre, Doncaster. This short term contract requires requires a combination of General Administration and customer service. The ideal person will be well presented with practical skills required to hang our rolling exhibitions. We are looking for someone who is practical, has a keen eye for detail and who can keep up in a fast paced work environment.

The Job Roles:

- Scheduling a rolling programme of art exhibitions every 6 weeks.
- Liaising with the artists for delivery and collection of artworks.
- Sourcing artwork and small items to be sold within the shop.
- Promoting the project and gallery on various media channels.
- Organising launch parties for new exhibitions.
- General shopkeeping and customer service.
- General maintenance and hanging of artwork.

**Skills**:

- IT and Social media proficiency (required)
- Organised and reliable, able to meet quick deadlines (required)
- Ability to use tools, when hanging artwork (required)
- Confident and good with customer service (required)
- Ability to use Photoshop/Procreate (preferred)
- Drivers License (preferred)

Hours:
Thursday - Saturday
10am - 4pm
(During Launch parties, extra hours may be available)
