Our clients include the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. We also work with charities, galleries and start-ups. Our areas of expertise encompass climate change and environmental issues, global health, economics, technology, arts and culture.

**The role**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Copyeditor to join Miko’s editorial team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to kickstart their career in editing and publishing. This position is particularly geared towards projects for the World Economic Forum. You will work closely with our in-house designers and creative directors to help create compelling and word-perfect reports, articles and white papers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation and consistency.
- Assist in fact-checking and research to ensure the accuracy of content.
- Reword text sensitively without altering the meaning and raise queries for authors where necessary.
- Manage and maintain an editorial calendar and work closely with client teams, ensuring timely production of content.

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, International Relations or a related field
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Proficiency and experience in MS Office and a willingness to learn design tools such as InDesign and Illustrator for live editing.
- Strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn project management systems such as ClickUp to keep on top of projects with moving timelines.
- An ability to rewrite complicated, often jargon-heavy text into accessible language.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the editorial field.
- Please note that this is a Norwich-based, on-site-only position. Successful applicants must be able to commute to the studio daily from 9am to 5pm.

Desirable:

- Understanding of and experience examining narrative structure and storytelling.
- Experience with CMS and editing software.
- Experience writing and reviewing comments using Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience editing text within Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
