- Responsible for ensuring products bought into the business meet the high standard expected at Freshview by quality checking the product received.
- Maintaining strict hygiene practices in line with food hygiene regulations.
- Working in line with Freshview policies and SSOW to ensure the safety of all staff and visitors.
- To ensure that all stocks are being kept securely and under the correct temperature conditions applicable to each type of commodity stored.
- To ensure no food/produce is stored past its use by date and reported where applicable.
- To ensure that good housekeeping levels are adhered to by adopting a clean as you go policy, and that the cleaning schedule is followed and filled in each day
- To ensure that all incoming stock is thoroughly checked and that all temperatures, shortages, and quality issues are recorded onto the Delivery Record Sheets.
- To ensure that all stock is rotated thoroughly to minimise wastage.
- Accurately pick customer orders, ensuring quality whilst highlighting any shortages to the relevant person.
- Quality checking produce to ensure its condition is suitable for our customers.
- Hold a current Forklift licence.
- Able to work alone as well as part of a wider team.
- Self motivated and able to work using own initiative.
- Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Ability to follow instructions and processes accurately and efficiently.
- Willing to learn and undertake training.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- Attention to detail with a can-do attitude.
