We are a leading Civil Engineering and Construction Company, with over 150 people we deliver high quality construction and civil engineering projects across the UK and Ireland. We have office locations in Tyrone (NI), East Midlands (England) and Cork (ROI).

Due to the continued growth of the business, exciting new positions have been created for a Senior Buyer and a Junior Buyer with experience within the construction sector.

The role will involve the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of subcontractors, materials and plant throughout the UK and Ireland.

**The Role**
- Management and approval of the procurement process.
- Approval of invoices for supplier payments.
- Ensure that all subcontractors, materials and plant are procured with a delivery, cost and quality mindset.
- Developing market knowledge and identifying potential suppliers, subcontractors and value engineering possibilities.
- Assess and gather all necessary information to produce comprehensive enquiry packages in line with program requirements.
- Compare and evaluate all quotations against scheme budgets and issue order the most advantage quotation.
- Assist the Estimating & Commercial department with tender/post tender enquiries when required.
- Update supplier information for Site teams to use.
- Support site teams through the construction process with take-off of materials etc.

**The Person**
- The ability to prioritise and work within set deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and improve effective internal and external working relationships
- Senior Buyer - ability to effectively manage a team to produce desired outcomes
- Senior Buyer - ability to coordinate across the business with other buyers to coordinate procurement strategy

**The Experience**
- 3+ or 5+ years’ experience in purchasing within the Construction Industry.
- Knowledge or experience of working within ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems.
- CPIS membership would be desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
