Financial Accountat

We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team in a pioneering company looking to be a global leader in early detection and precision medicine.

This individual will have a varied role within finance, primarily covering month end reporting for the Group, including IFRS 15 revenue recognition, inventory & fixed asset reporting, accruals, and prepayments. This role will also be responsible for preparingthe annual accounts, be a key user of our ERP and financial planning systems and supporting the Head of Finance with a wide range of ad-hoc and project work.

The role will require you to take ownership and assist with the following tasks:

- Partnering with the Sales and Clinical Study Delivery team to maintain revenue and backlog bookings, ensuring revenue is recognised correctly in accordance with IFRS 15
- Take the lead on preparation of statutory financial reporting and support Head of Finance on year end audit
- Inventory management and reporting:

- Fixed assets reporting
- Reviewing inventory records to ensure accuracy, partnering closely with Operations
- Advising and assisting with inventory recording
- Provide meaningful business analysis on cost of goods for products i.e. BOM cost etc.
- Complete month end reporting, including calculation and booking of accruals and prepayments and reconciling core balance sheet accounts
- Provide oversight and support to the finance team to ensure completion of month end activities
- Support the Head of Finance on monthly management reporting for departments and projects

**Requirements**:
Essential
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel user.
- An core understanding of financial principles and how they translate into real life situations.
- Analytical mindset, being comfortable researching into the detail to understand what is happening
- Excellent communication skills
- An excellent understanding of IFRS accounting principles
- Good analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Self-starter who is keen to understand the business

Desirable

**Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (ERP) and Planful (FP&A) systems would be beneficial**

Qualifications:

- Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
