**Role Definition**:
To effectively uphold the food safety, legal, and quality standards of 2SFG, our customers, regulatory bodies and all other interested stakeholders.

The completion of routine and non-routine assessments in the factory environment to ensure compliance to all codes of practice

To coach, train, advise and support the factory operations teams on matters of non-conformance and deviation to specification with specific focus on raw materials

To act as the site Subject Matter Expert on all key raw material areas, and to manage and maintain intake database and internal specifications.

**Accountabilities**:

- To comply with and uphold all company Health and Safety Procedures.
- The completion of ad-hoc audits as deemed necessary by the Shift QA Manager
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) where an established protocol or standard has been compromised. The NCR is to be managed by the issuing Quality Auditor until completion of the corrective action.
- Coaching and mentoring of operations employees on technical issues particularly relating to raw materials where necessary
- Managing non-conforming product across the site.
- To conduct spot checks on temperatures of product on production lines as required
- To ensure compliance with all QAS/Quality Contracts
- To ensure key ingredients meet the required specifications through inspection upon intake.
- Communicate raw material issues and cascade information both downwards from senior team to shop floor and upwards from shop floor to management where required.
- Manage and maintain intake database and internal specifications.
- Carry out job related tasks on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.

Knowledge and understanding of all processes within the factory, ability to identify and correct/raise non-conforming product or processes following the correct chains of command. Offer advice/education to those who ask for it.
