Bakkavor Desserts Newark specialise in chilled desserts specifically trifles, egg custards, cream cakes such as éclairs, doughnuts, profiteroles and choux buns.

**The role**

In this busy and exciting role, you will work on either Purchase Ledger or Sales Ledger functions. These Ledgers are managed centrally at our Newark site and cover all three of the Desserts Division sites.

Depending on experience, you will either join the Sales Ledger or Purchase Ledger team, however there will also be opportunities to train and take on tasks for the other Ledger team as and when needed.

The role is full time with hybrid working and is based in Newark, Nottinghamshire

**Your responsibilities will include either**:
**Purchase Ledger**
- Purchase invoice processing onto the ERP system (including attaining authorisation for invoices with variances to purchase orders and speaking with operations and suppliers to resolve issues)
- Preparation and investigation of Supplier Statements Reconciliations.
- Assist with other ad-hoc Ledger tasks.

**Sales Ledger**
- Matching of cash receipts on the ERP system.
- Processing of customer deductions on to the ERP system and management of the deduction authorization process.
- Raising invoices to customers.
- Reconciliation of customer aged debt to customer statements and portals.
- Assist with other ad-hoc Ledger tasks.

**What you will need**

Ideally, you will be AAT Qualified or Part Qualified and experience of an accountancy related role within a manufacturing setting would be preferred - but not essential.
