**About the College**
- Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

**About the role**

The broad purpose of the occupation is to conduct the general day-to-day maintenance required to keep a range of properties in a good state of repair. Property maintenance operatives conduct routine maintenance tasks, and minor planned and responsive repair works, using a broad range of fundamental trade skills including carpentry, joinery, plumbing, plastering, brick and block work, external works and associated finishing trades including tiling, painting, and decorating. Operatives use a wide variety of hand and power tools, materials, components, fixtures and fittings, ensuring work that is carried out is compliant with health and safety requirements, and meets building safety regulations and legislation. Carry out repairs to the fabric of a building, for example repairs to walls, doors, doorframes, skirting boards or plaster damage to internal walls

**Qualifications**
- Level 1 qualification in Maths & English
- A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
- Be willing to undertake and complete all qualifications as specified by the course.
