**Butcher required at Briddlesford Lodge Farm Shop.**

Briddlesford Farm is a 200 acre dairy farm milking 160 pedigree Guernsey cows, and encompassing a farm shop and café complex.

The aim of the business is to process all of its milk and home produced meat on site, and sell it direct to the consumer. It is an example of Isle of Wight food production and self-sufficiency at its best, and is currently looking for a full time butcher/ counter assistant to work in its busy Farm Shop.

If you have a keen interest in Butchery, we would like to hear from you, all levels of experience considered.

5 days a week to include Saturdays.

(Possibility for Part-time position)

The successful applicant should be motivated, creative and have great communication skills. They should be able to work as part of the team as well as independently.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Maintaining high standards within the butcher’s counter and cutting room.**:

- Creating an attractive display to maximise sales on a daily basis.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards.
- Work fast when under pressure without compromising on quality.
- Minimise waste.
- Communicate effectively with customers and advise them accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with the chefs and staff in our adjoining café.
- Assist other shop staff when required.

**Qualifications**:
Food hygiene level 2 as a minimum, backed up with experience, strong work ethic and professionalism at all times.

Full training can be provided for the right applicant.

**Salary**: Depending on experience.
