They are looking for a Room Leader with a Level 3 in childcare minimum qualification.
To support in managing the aims and objectives of the Nursery to a high quality standard for children from 12 weeks to 5 years of age
To guide /support/motivate and train staff
To be prepared to assist in the general day to day running of the Nursery, which will include stepping in to cook, stepping into be the housekeeper or work in any room.

RESPONSIBLE TO
- The Management of the setting

HOURS OF WORK
Monday to Friday; 40 hours a week working on a shift pattern

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To contribute to ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date with changing legislation and reviews in line with Early Years Foundation and Pre-School Learning Alliance.
- To promote the following of policies and procedures by all staff members by providing understanding and direction through practice.
- To promote systems for monitoring and recording child development with all staff.
- Be responsible for the Health and Safety standards appropriate for the needs of the children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness;
- To ensure a high standard to hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times;
- Liaise effectively with and support parents / carers and other family members in the care of their children and ensure delivery is in line with their wishes;
- To liaise with outside agencies in relation to the pre-school.
- Maintain staff awareness of fire drill in accordance with the code of practice;
- To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children in the pre-school, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe the pre-schools policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm;
- To organise a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with other staff.
- To ensure continued professional development by staying abreast of childcare industry bulletins and updates;
- To ensure knowledge and understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage statutory requirements
- To carry out any other task reasonably commensurate to the nature of the post.
- To be prepared to go on courses that you will be paid for.
