Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working with a dynamic, forward thinking and long established global brand to recruit a Procurement Category Manager
**Hybrid Working (2 days per week office-based London OR Newcastle) - Flexible Working - Excellent Bonus Package - Enhanced Pension**
**The Opportunity**
Working within a well established Procurement Team, taking full ownership for a broad variety of Marketing categories.
- Strategic procurement of key categories of spend including creative agencies, media, production and merchandise
- Developing and delivering procurement strategy, liaising closely with/building strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders
- Contract negotiation and management specific to key projects
- Supplier performance management/development
- New sourcing/supplier onboarding
- Managing and contributing to broader project activity as required
**About You**
The successful Procurement Category Manager will be able to work 2 days per week in central London and will have/be:
- Comprehensive Marketing category management and end to end procurement/contract management experience essential - ideally in relation to creative agencies, media, production and merchandise
- Experienced Category Manager with gravitas, confident communication, influencing and negotiation skills - able to adapt your approach
- Excellent SRM and negotiation skills, proven track record in managing category strategy and track record of delivery to deadline
- Agility of Procurement approach, commercially minded - able to discern best procurement approach, contractual terms and durations dependent upon project, category and stakeholder -requirements - focused upon delivering best results and exceeding stakeholderexpectations
- Proven track record in Procurement best practice, structured thinker, process driven
- Tenacious, energetic and diligent, proactive, assertive self starter, accustomed to working at pace and to 'hitting the ground running'
- Inquisitive, detailed and analytical
- Good sense of humour, team player, engaging ‘people’ person
