**About You**

You have an eye for detail, meticulous administration skills and have a problem-solving mindset because you will be handling customs documentation on behalf of Welsh businesses.

Enthusiastic customer focussed mindset to help businesses to find a range of solutions offered by the Chamber to helping them to export. With the ability to maintain the high standards that our customers expect, you must enjoy working with processes, procedures and finding solutions.

You must be able to handle a range of international trade enquiries, and ensure our customers are aware of the wider range of ways the Chamber can help them. Working as part of a team with a desire to support Welsh businesses with their export journey.

**Job Headlines**
- _**Provide high-quality service in processing customs documentation**_
- _**Trained to the industry exemplar standards of the British Chambers of Commerce. (will be provided)**_
- _**Proactively offer the full range of international and wider Chamber services to find industry focussed solutions and generate revenue**_
- _**Deliver customer focussed services, resources, clinics and handle daily enquiries**_

**What the Role Involves**:

- Processing of export documentation, with meticulous attention to detail and customer focus, in line with HMRC and BCC guidelines
- Processing of Customs declarations, with meticulous attention to detail to both importers and exporters
- Identify opportunities to proactively promote the wider chamber services available from the Chamber international portfolio
- Highlight to the relationship team businesses that would benefit from Chamber membership
- Deliver customer focussed services by constantly listening to the issues of the businesses and spotting emerging trends and issues and raising these with wider Chamber team
- Provide face to face advice at international trade events/clinics and meetings
- Keeping up to date with industry changes, news, guidance and legislation that affect internationally trading businesses and discussing these in team meetings
- Ensuring the customer experience is at the heart of what we do and being part of the team that seeks regular feedback
- Taking responsibility that the Chamber CRM is updated daily.

**Skills and Knowledge needed**:

- Meticulous administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good concentration and administratively faultless
- Customer focussed with excellent communication skills to provide solutions to customer problems
- Commercial mindset to create revenue opportunities
- Ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
- Excellent relationship management skills around team and project management
- Ability to work independently under pressure
- A full driving license and own car would be an advantage

**To Succeed in this Role You’ll Need**:

- Be located with easy travelling distance of Cardiff. This role is predominantly office based with hybrid opportunities.
