Sox Analyst

You will work within a small team, reporting to the Head of SOX UK & Ireland. This role offers excellent level of responsibility and exposure, and opens up a wealth of progression opportunties within the business.
The purpose of the role is to ensure my client have full SOX Compliance, adherence with relevant accounting policies throughout the business, and to improve quality & accuracy of our financial accounting within_
- This will include:_
- SOX Compliance_
- _Quarterly review of policies, process flows and procedures with the SOX Process Owners. Maintain and update the Risk Control Matrix._
- _Maintain system for regular audit of SOX controls and walkthrough testing to ensure quality and compliance across all areas._
- _Risk assessment & identifying control weaknesses, and areas where fraud is a risk _
- _Find opportunities where controls can be standardised, centralised and automated _
- _Creation of new analytics, metrics and reports for SOX reporting particularly around P2P_
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations_
- _Regular reviews of central and site balance sheet reconciliations, on Blackline. _
- _Ensure adherence to USGAAP accounting standards_
- _Communicate and provide feedback to Finance Managers thereby driving improvement in quality. _
- _Highlight any issues or risks to Controllership Management and help plan, monitor, and resolve those issues. _
- Other Work_
- _Help manage audits for UK companies within the Group, including statutory audit, SOX audit, internal audit._
- _Ownership of some centrally managed key controls_
- _Assistance with general financial accounting queries and special projects_
