**Job Introduction**
We’re looking for a **Multimedia Journalist** to join our team at **OxfordshireLive**.

We want someone who is passionate about Oxfordshire and is hungry to find and report on the issues which matter most to our readers. As well as covering breaking news, you will be out on patch to help us make a positive impact on the communities we serve.

We’re fun and passionate and specialise in brilliant, detailed, interactive and ambitious storytelling. What’s more, we’re creative. If you’ve got a great idea for a newsletter, video, social post, podcast or interactive article then let’s give it a go.

We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

**This role is home based however due to the nature of the role, you will need to be based in or around Oxfordshire, or be prepared to relocate to the area. There will also be monthly meetings in our Canary Wharf office.**

**Key Responsibilities**
**What will the role involve?**

You will be confident using a range of digital formats and quickly identify breaking news by utilising social media and other contacts. You will also be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines to ensure we beat our competitors and get our audience the highest quality content at the fastest pace.

You will write and develop stories about local communities, with great pictures and engaging videos, but you will also create maps and graphics, host live Q&As, author newsletters on topics which engage our readers and develop interactive content formats which set us apart from our rivals. All while ensuring that every piece of content is researched and published in accordance with the Editor’s Code of practice.

**Who are we looking for?**

You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’re social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and ideally you're familiar with newsroom analytics and content management systems. You’re flexible, inquisitive and are on the pulse of what makes a great story
