Advanced Dietitian in Paediatric Gastroenterology

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced dietitian to join our team of 12 paediatric dietitians and 4 paediatric dietetic assistants, to expand their skills in the area of paediatric dietetics. We require a motivated and innovative dietitian with good clinical skills and a broad knowledge in the area of paediatric dietetics. You will have good interpersonal skills and an ability to work well as part of a team.

The post offers an excellent opportunity to gain further experience in a wide range of general and specialist paediatric dietetics with an emphasis on gastroenterology. The trust is a regional centre for paediatric gastrosurgery and intestinal failure and you will be working closely with our 3 consultant gastroenterologists and 2 other gastroenterology Dietitians, to provide care for neonates and children with gastro-related disorders. You will also gain experience in other specialist areas such as neonatology, PICU, ketogenic diets, allergy, diabetes, neurology, oncology, trauma and HIV. Additionally, you will also work as part of a larger team of dietitians in this busy London teaching hospital.

We are a base trainer for student dietitians and are actively involved in the training of other staff.

To assist you, the department has good I.T. facilities and secretarial support.
