4myschools are looking for exceptional support staff to work as a TA or LSA and join our team of flexible school support staff. You will be employed to work with our clients’ schools, based in Colchester. As an LSA, the needs of the children that you will be supporting in these schools range from mild to acute SEND. Working as a TA will mean you provide whole class and small group support, and lead phonics and precession teaching interventions.

**Responsibilities of the TA LSA**:

- Responsible for delivering high quality support to children either on a whole class, small group or 1:1 basis
- Support the class teacher by helping with classroom management
- Provide feedback to the class teacher, SENDCO and other professionals where appropriate on observations you’ve made about the child/ren’s progress and any areas for development
- Lead focused intervention sessions following the teachers plans
- Acting as a role model

**As the successfully appointed TA LSA, you will have**:

- Grade 4 (C) or above in both English and Maths at GCSE level
- Previous experience supporting children or working with SEND
- Previous experience leading interventions would be beneficial but is not essential
- A proactive and can-do attitude with willingness to work within a team
- A positive approach to classroom management helping create a positive learning environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A holistic approach to supporting children’s development
- Committed to providing the best possible support to the children, teachers, schools and families you work with

Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: £70.00-£90.00 per day
