**Description**:
Escape is working with an Engineering Manufacturing client who is looking to appoint a Sourcing Specialist to join their Supply Chain Team.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager the Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for strategic sourcing, implementing and setting up supply agreements and cost-down activities.

Responsibilities of the role:

- Formulate and execute sourcing strategies and supplier souring
- Manage Supplier relationships and performance
- Manage all cost reduction exercises including low-cost supply, direct material costs and single-source supply
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to support operational plans
- Support and mentor team members
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas for improving processes and processes

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

- Experience working in a similar purchasing/procurement/sourcing role within a manufacturing organisation
- Experience working within an engineering organisation would be highly advantageous
- Commercially focused and able to deliver against multiple competing objectives
- Experience in implementing and setting up contracts and supply agreements
- Experience in managing Supplier relationship
- Data and results-driven with strong negotiation skills
- Ambitious, hard-working and driven
