Handyperson

ACE Winches are currently looking for a Handyperson to support the facilities and maintenance function across global bases. Responsible for the completion of of planned and ad hoc maintenance programs aimed to ensure limited down time across business operations.

Ensure both workshop and office facilities are maintained in accordance with company standard and accepted code of practice. Will be responsible for general business operations such as office reception, cleaning, hospitality requirements, security, and fire systems.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Assist in the completion of basic facilities maintenance including plumbing, joinery and regulatory checks of fire equipment etc.
- Assist with the replacement of electrical fittings i.e. light bulbs, socket cover etc.
- Assist in the management and distribution of facilities equipment and stock
- Place parts orders in accordance with company procedures
- Ensuring supplier and contractor vetting procedures are adhered to.
- Liaise with workshop departments to ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained for plant and equipment
- Maintain department, equipment, and global base registers
- Assist with the completion of weekly KPI reports and present to department manager
- Issue plant maintenance reminders and associated paperwork
- Liaise with 3rd parties as required for facilities / plant maintenance
- Pro-actively assist in the management of stock levels of office equipment including stationery / refreshments
- Assist with the set up of IT workstations as directed
- Pro-actively communicate with department members to mitigate potential issues with maintenance schedules
- Support plant control systems for international bases

**Qualifications and Skills Required**

**Desirable**
- Previous experience as a Handyperson or in a similar maintenance role.
- Relevant trade background would be advantageous
- Ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests and work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both written and verbally with management, colleagues, contractors and various other external stakeholders
- Familiar with CDM regulations would be an advantage
- Familiar with legislative requirements for heavy plant and machinery would be an advantage
