**Job Description**:
**What’s on Offer?**

- ** Location**: Birstall, Batley (WF17)
- ** Salary**: Up to £21,233 per annum
- ** Contract Type**: Permanent, Full Time
- ** Hours**: 37.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri)
- ** Working Style**: Hybrid (Home working with some travel to office)

We're searching for a **Buyer** to bolster our dynamic Procurement Team. As a Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our business thrives through responsible sourcing and procurement practices. In this role, you'll take the lead in securing contracts that not only provide exceptional value but also promote sustainability.

**Some of the key responsibilities will include**:

- Strategically sourcing goods and services from preferred suppliers.
- Offering procurement support for multiple projects while adhering to agreed-upon timelines, meeting customer requirements.
- Engaging with suppliers to verify stock availability, negotiate pricing, and establish lead times.
- Efficiently utilising our company systems to initiate purchase orders.
- Meticulously processing and expediting orders, ensuring all internal documents are up to date.
- Generating essential financial reports as needed.
- Maintaining precise procurement documentation.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and departments to facilitate requests.
- Recording essential data for contract and sales order management.
- Remaining vigilant for potentially fraudulent activity, promptly reporting any security incidents.
- Periodically reviewing company policies to ensure full compliance with current legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Staying compliant with our health and safety policies and relevant legislation.
- Identifying and upholding quality standards to guarantee that all products meet these criteria.

**Qualifications**:
**Preferred Skills & Experience**:
While previous experience as a Buyer or in Procurement is preferred, it's not a strict requirement. However, you should possess:

- Strong financial acumen.
- A solid understanding of risk management.
- A commitment to sustainability.
- Proficiency in supply chain management.
- Solid IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office programs.
