**Your new role**
As Accounting Technician you will work in a small established finance team reporting to the Finance Director. Your duties will include: support the production of timely and accurate management accounts; post monthly journals, accruals and prepayments as required;maintenance of the Sage50 general ledger; prepare monthly payment runs; assist in the preparation of balance sheet control account reconciliations; assist the Finance Director with the preparation of budgets; prepare reports and commentary on performance vsbudgets to ensure that spend is in line with budget; monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed; support with statutory reporting tasks such as Government surveys; assist with the completion of the year-endaudit and provide ad hoc operational support to other teams and projects when required.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Part-qualified through a recognised accountancy qualification desired but not essential
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, including excellent Excel skills
- Knowledge of Sage50
- Excellent attention to detail and presents work to a high standard
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to work to monthly deadlines is essential
- Ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
**What you'll get in return**
You will work on a full-time permanent basis Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You will receive 20 days annual leave, increasing to 25 days after one year service, private medical insurance and a competitive salary.
