The post holder will work with the Dental & Optometry Contract and Service Development Managers and Support Managers to ensure the development and delivery of service strategies for high quality healthcare for the local population in an environment of unpredictable and constantly changing work patterns and demands.

This post will primarily sit within the Optometry Team to support the implementation of the new Optometry Contract.

- Maintain up to date records for contractor groups.
- Support contractor payment processes.
- Filing, including electronically, minutes and agendas for meetings.
- Ensuring, coordinating and aligning support to members of the Primary Care.
- To work flexibly to support the Primary Care Contracting Team.

Supporting on the planning, negotiation, performance monitoring and review of General Dental Services contracts, Personal Dental Services Agreements, Dental Out of Hours.

Supporting partnership working with the Community Dental Services, General Dental Service and Optometrists to ensure that the provision in the area is equitable, high quality and seamless between service areas.

Supporting the communication with the practices, Local Dental and Optometry Committees, UHB and the Welsh Assembly Government on all dental/optometry service issues and developments.

This post is fixed term / secondment for 9 months due to the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
