Renewables & Energy Solutions R&ES) is key to this. It is that part of Shell that includes integrated power, hydrogen, and nature-based solutions and carbon capture & storage. All of this intends to propel Shell closer towards its target of being a net-zero emissions business by 2050.

The Customer Transformation team in Energy Marketing (EM) is particularly focused on how we can accelerate customer centric thinking, design, and delivery across all areas of R&ES EM. The team is focused on defining how we approach and deliver end 2 end customer journeys and experience both within EM and in conjunction with DS. With regional businesses, we focus on identifying shared capabilities and unified data that can benefit all entities and our customers. The scope of those capabilities is well defined, and they are referred as customer facing capabilities.

**What’s the role?**

The role of business capabilities product owner has the responsibility and ownership of one or more capabilities which are required to deliver the Energy Marketing business.

The role will be responsible for defining and prioritization of requirements. The requirements are received from regional and sector businesses and from CX teams and are prioritized and turned into design and changes across processes, data, and technology. As domain expert, product owner will define product vision, priorities across regional businesses and be accountable for the end to end of delivery of the product.

Product Owner will:

- Translate business strategy into capabilities product vision, priorities, and milestones
- Define the KPIs and success measures
- Secure stakeholder support and buy-in through demonstration of commercial value and storytelling
- Leverage demonstrated domain experience (product specific) to continuously evolve capabilities in scope to improve business outcomes - identify opportunities, improve process efficiency, KPI performance
- Challenge the validity of given procedures, processes, policies, and systems. Focus especially on (part of) processes that could be re-engineered, digitized, or automated
- Partner with product manager (IDT) to create a product road map
- Work with CX team(s) to translate desired customer outcomes into requirements
- Hold accountability for the design of the to-be process, roles & responsibilities
- Prioritize the backlog, aligning with other regional business initiatives. The change backlog will include new requests, improvement opportunities, and data needs.
- Manage backlog of design changes with support from regional SMEs, technology product manager and global data owners
- Conduct design sprints with regional inputs to improve product quality
- Plan and manage the local Implementation of business capabilities in scope for product with regional leads and local teams

**What we need from you**

We are keen to hear from individuals with extensive experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Project Management. You’ll also call on your Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business Administration or comparable. Experience n Product Management is strongly preferred.

We also hope you possess the following skills and/or experience:

- Experience in Natural Gas and/or Power commodity markets or in Customer facing solutions
- Experience with managing/developing solutions for contract management, customer end to end value chain (onboarding, service and renewal/termination), and customer support within B2B energy retailer.
- Energy & passion to be externally focused - not just about customers but how similar industries are approaching this key topic
- Strategic thinker, able to develop and articulate a vision and direction in complex organizational
- Track record in delivering value, from opportunity identification to delivery, dealing with unknowns and taking decision with incomplete set of information
- Strong communications and stakeholder management skills. Able to articulate a vision and build support for that vision in the wider team and organization
- Ability to self-start and direct efforts based on high-level business objectives
- A proven track record of project delivery including agile project delivery
- A proven track record of Change and Engage during deployment and changes
- Ability to develop insights from data, develop creative solutions and drive change from a customer and digital perspective
- Ability to synthesize large amount of data down to key data points and turn into actionable insights.
- A passion for solving complex problems where commercial activity, process and technology intersect
