**Job Title: Pastoral Tutor**

**Position: Full time, temporary**

**Location: North Yorkshire**

**Salary: £15 per hour including holiday pay**

REED Further Education are recruiting an experienced Pastoral Tutor to cover the PHSE curriculum in an FE College.

As a Pastoral Tutor you will carry out a pastoral role, conduction 1-2-1’s, following up to ensure students are safe and their wellbeing is good etc.

**The successful Pastoral Tutor will have the following skills and qualifications**:

- Good general education at NVQ level 2 or equivalent including literacy & numeracy at Level 2
- Basic Skills awareness training or qualification
- Appropriate training and / or a willingness to undertake training in supporting the needs of disengaged / disadvantaged students who may have emotional and behaviour problems
- Experience of working/dealing with students, particularly age 16+
- Experience of working with disengaged / disadvantaged young people in an educational setting
- Have a good knowledge of behaviour management techniques
- DBS registered to the Update Service
