The role

**Key responsibilities**:

- Write news at speed for our daily newsletter.
- Write news and features for InterGaming magazine
- Liaise with sales team regarding any ‘supported editorial’ or advertorial.
- Comply with media law, copyright and industry regulations.
- Attend and report on industry events, including trade shows overseas.
- Proof the magazine to meet publication standards and house style.

**Essential requirements**:

- Minimum three years’ experience in a journalist role.
- Ability to write news articles accurately in a fast turnaround environment.
- Demonstrable experience in producing relevant content and features to target audiences.
- Strong writing, editing and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to nurture long-term relationships with key clients and industry experts.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

**Desirable skills**:

- NCTJ qualified.
- Page layout skills, ideally using InDesign.
- Experience of using a content management system and posting content on social media

We are looking for someone based in the North West of England within commuting distance of our offices in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The role will be mainly based in the office although some home working may be possible.

Salary will be dependent on experience.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
