We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor to join our award-winning business, in Rochdale.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor assumes responsibility for the shipping and warehousing within the Rochdale site. They supervise and provide direction to the driving operatives. This includes delegating tasks, providing support and encourage an environment of continual improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Manage the loading of trucks and containers for domestic and international travel.-
Assume responsibility for receiving & sending of dangerous goods.-
Oversee transportation of goods from one warehouse location to another, ensuring it arrives safely and on time.-
Establish and maintain communication with suppliers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of all goods.-
Take responsibility for receiving and booking in all items against purchase orders and liaise with appropriate departments in the event of a query.-
Ensure rotational stock checks are carried out and when appropriate, full stock takes.-
Provide other departments with adequate information regarding any Goods In/Out matters.-
Identify and relocate expiring and expired stock. Update stock records within SAGE.-
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are documented and in place for key tasks within the department.-
Take responsibility for Health & Safety within the department to ensure a safe working environment. Monitor on an on-going basis and report any issues to the Health & Safety Manager.-
Identify areas within the department that are not working efficiently, suggest possible solutions and where appropriate, ensure the changes are implemented.Skills & Experience Required:
Applicants must have counterbalance FLT license and articulated FLT.-
Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse.-
Must possess good written and verbal skills.-
Must be proficient in Microsoft office.-
Previous experience with SAGE/SAP is highly desirable (or any other stock/ CRM system).Come Be Part Of A Mission that Matters
