Accounts Assistant

**GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a well established & progressive building, surveying, & civils construction company** that is going from strength to strength year on year & who is looking to recruit an **Accounts Assistant**to work in a hybrid capacity (home 3 days / office 2 days) on an initial 12 months fixed term contract, that could extend or go permanent (not gaurenteed to, but may).

The Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role is a busy & varied role, that provides hands on support to the Financial Controller, supporting them on a wide range of responsibilities including duties such as; invoicing, answering queries, taking card payments,monthly MI reporting for clients & Directors as requested, plus more.

**Duties**:

- Effectively assisting with the Company’s accountancy (Xero) and finance systems (BMS) in accordance with the appropriate company & regulatory authority legislation & guidelines.
- Supporting the Finance Manager’s & the Directors.
- Handle the Company’s accounting & banking procedures
- Produce invoices & process invoices
- Credit Control
- Carry out general finance / administrative duties including; invoicing, answering queries, taking card payments, closing projects, banking, carrying out Financial CPD to staff. as well as producing Monthly MI for clients & directors as requested.

**Desired Experience**:

- Hold / be working towards an Accountancy Qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA etc.) or time served in a comparable Accounts role.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, Vlook up, pivot tables would be useful)
- Experience of working withinternal & external teams.
- Having worked within or managed credit control.
- Experience of working to accountancy procedures.
- Experience of bookkeeping for a SME sized business or larger.
