Zachary Daniels are recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join a well established Retailer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where the people are at the very heart of the business
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

- Lead, develop and coach the team to ensure they can perform at their best in line with our values.
- Create an annual plan for the team to ensure all aspects of payroll and compliance, including any projects and associated testing, can be delivered as required. You will liaise with stakeholders to understand their needs and proactively manage their expectationsof what we can deliver and when.
- Effectively deliver the monthly payroll as part of a shared service team.
- Provide expertise to identify risks and resolve any serious or complex payroll, compliance or process issues that arise, engaging with stakeholders where necessary.
- Constantly monitor the statutory and regulatory environment in the UK to ensure that emerging legislative and statutory requirements are identified and embedded into payroll processes, ensuring that they meet their employer obligations.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture across the team looking at processes, systems, and ways of working, incorporating external best practice.

To be successful you will already have several years' experience of working in a fast-paced payroll environment in large organisation, a large proportion of which will have been spent working in a leadership role.
Specific skills required include:

- Proven experience of leading, developing and motivating successful teams.
- Good presentation and report writing skills.
- Highly numerate with strong data accuracy and data analytics skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure.
- Solutions focussed and able to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Able to build strong collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A drive for continuous improvements and simplifying processes and systems.
Salary c£70k, Private Healthcare, Bonus
This role is Hybrid working.
