Plastic Technology Services is a locally owned business that has been recycling plastic for 30+ years. We take post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste and compound this into a pellet that meets the needs of our customers.
We have 4 production lines, together with all the ancillary equipment necessary for such operations.
We are looking for an individual with a wide experience in maintenance/fitting roles. Training will be provided, and pay rate is dependent on experience. The broader the range of skills, the better, as the job involves working on all aspects of machinery - production lines, motors, ancillary equipment, forklifts, granulator, shredder, etc. Our fitters must work quickly & efficiently while ensuring that health & safety is strcitly adhered to.
Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure that the machinery and equipment are in good working order.
- Make sure that machinery is installed properly in the factory.
- Ensure that electrical connections are safely done.
- Fault finding and repairs of equipment to minimise production down-time.
- Work closely with equipment suppliers to order spare parts, replacements, etc.
- Be familiar with standards and regulations regarding maintenance safety.
While English is not required, we would anticipate any non-English speaker to have significant experience to allow them to undertake the work with mínimal training.
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
