We are looking for a The Head of Large Programme Security Delivery to manage and report on the delivery of all aspects of security large key programmes.

The Head of Large Programme Security Delivery role provides the leadership and oversight of security design, risk and operational implementation for ONS' large key programmes including IDP.

You will be at the heart of delivering radical, ambitious, inclusive and sustainable change in the secure sharing of government data to inform and evaluate policy and decision-making on the UK economy and society.

You will oversee, manage and report on the delivery of all aspects of security for large key programme/s including security threat and risk advice, technical and business operational design through ‘secure by design’ protections, the identification and reporting of security risk, the selection of appropriate mitigations to meet risk appetite and the delivery of security assurance for live operations.

You will be the primary security point of contact for the key programme/s leadership and wider government stakeholders involved in the programme. You will ensure the delivery of security and information management milestones, and the underpinning technical, people, process and data security measures.

You will be a key part of the Security and Information Management Directorate (SaIM) leadership team, reporting to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) ,while integrated within the key programme/s.

As The Head of Large Programmes within the security team, you will operate as the SaIM owner for key programme security delivery, ensuring the oversight of security requirements development, threat and risk understanding, technical and business operations secure design. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Provide guidance to ensure ongoing confidence that fundamental organisational security needs have been met, including integrating a range of assurance approaches and techniques to give continued confidence to the risk owners;
- Influence leaders and partners to ensure the appropriate understanding of security risk and its management to support data safeguarding, trust in data sharing and analytical activity;
- Guide and direct specialist activities of others, including the programme embedded team of SaIM security and information specialists, through existing Directorate structures, ensuring local delivery of programme milestones;
- Oversee the effective delivery of security work within key programme/s and reporting this to the relevant boards and the CSO, including financial, resourcing, design, operations and risk activity.

**Salary**: £64,100.00-£75,600.00 per year
