This role is an integral part within our Procurement Team; assisting in the procurement for the business and live order processing. Ensuring efficient purchasing process for the buying of relevant materials, supplies, equipment and specific services are followed.

**Requirements for Procurement Assistant**:

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Skills and experience of working with ERP and MRP business integrated systems (ongoing training as may be required)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

**Responsibilities for Procurement Assistant**
- Continuous monitoring and improvement of the supply chain
- Assisting with forecasting material costs and updating cost sheets
- Assisting with purchase of goods, raw materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Support and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and departments with regards purchasing
- Assist analysing costs
- Identifying opportunities and cost saving activities
- Conduct research for new components and suppliers.
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality and delivery or invoice issues.
- Monitor risk within the overall supply chain. Identify and escalate supply issues in a timely and effective manner
- Assist with the production schedule and update costs sheets
- Work on inventory levels to align stock management for business requirements.

**Work Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday = 37 ½ Hours ( office based )

Pay: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
