Band 7-8A Psychologist in Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs)

Following Long Term Plan investment, the CMHT psychology team has grown to 21 members consisting of Qualified Therapists/Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists.

There are 4 North teams
- 2 based in Kettering and 2 in Wellingborough and 5 South teams, mainly based in Northampton. There is 1 posts available in the North or the South team.

CMHTs are multi-disciplinary teams providing specialist support and intervention to people with a range of mental health difficulties.

CMHT psychologists provide psychological assessment and interventions across the breadth of client groups and presentations seen in the team. They guide and develop psychologically informed work of the multi-disciplinary team through supervision and consultation. Additionally, psychologists hold an important role in the clinical leadership of the CMHTs.

It is a fantastic time to be joining us given the financial investment and associated opportunities. Psychologists will be supported to be involved with service improvements, including the move to more needs led and Trauma Informed services. They also work alongside established services such as the
Personality Disorder Service, Eating Disorders service and Complex PTSD service. Furthermore, we are developing stronger links with third sector and community organisations - coproduction is highly valued in the trust.

The successful applicant(s) would be line managed and supervised by the Principal Psychologists based in the CMHTs.

The Adult Mental Health Psychology Lead also provides support.
