We have a fantastic opportunity for five Casual Support Assistants for Young People and Adults at Bury Council. This is a Part-time role for the next 2 - 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

**What is the role?**

Bury Councils supported employment service, are looking for some experienced Casual Support Assistants for Young People and Adults to be based at Lodge House in Bury.

To assist and help service users enhance work life skills - independent living skills, reaching potential, paid employment in the future.

**What are your responsibilities?**
- Your role will be to help find Young People and Adults employment in the local area.
- Generally, work on enhancing work life skills i.e. reading instructions and writing shopping list.
- Independent living skills, i.e. cooking and cleaning
- Finding employment, whether it be volunteering or paid employment
- You could be working in a community café, bowling greens, or horticulture - outdoor work.
- Basic finance, learning to use their money wisely.
- You will either be working 1 on 1, or in a small group.

**What skills do you Need?**
- Previous Casual Support Assistants for Young People and Adults experience
- Ability to use IT systems and record information accurately.
- Excellent People skills, as you will be speaking to service users, families, carers and other members of staff.
- Valid Enhanced DBS
- Working hours will be Monday to Friday 9.30am to 15.30pm
