We are looking for an enthusiastic and attentive Housekeeper to join our team on Oak 1.

You will be tasked with ensuring effective liaison between cleaning and catering services together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the Team Leader.

Reporting to the Ward Manager, you will be responsible for maintain ward stock levels of food, linking with food suppliers to ensure sufficient and correct daily food orders are maintained. This post involves morning and afternoon shifts, as well as working weekends and bank holidays, on a roster basis shared with another housekeeper.

The care and well being of the patient will be a priority as you complete tasks involved with delivery of pre cook/freeze products delivered to the ward daily.

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services not only via inpatient and primary care setting but also with the community. These services include Children, Adult & Older Peoples mental & physical health, Forensic & Specialist mental health, Learning Disabilities, Primary Care & Liaison psychiatry, Substance misuse, Social care, Research & Development.

1. To receive, welcome and guide visitors on the ward, liaising with other staff as appropriate.
2. To assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the ward.
3. To carry out spot checks on environmental standards.
4. To ensure that staff maintain general and specialist equipment e.g. scales wheel chairs and commodes to standards as per cleaning policy
5. To ensure the ward is safe and tidy at all times.
6. Advising staff to remove clutter, tidy notice boards, signage, etc.
7. To maintain upkeep of patients' bed areas.
8. To identify any problems with cleanliness and report to the ward sister/charge nurse.
9. To ensure specialist cleaning of surfaces and furnishings.
10. To liaise with catering to ensure that patients have access to high quality meals and refreshments.
