**Key Accountabilities**: Key points that you will use to measure a persons success in this role 1.Record, review and report on all Willen Hospice data streams in relation to our carbon footprint and environmental performance analysing trends and investigating opportunities to reduce our gas, electricity, water, waste and paper consumption levels across the hospice estate. 2. Lead on all energy related work streams, including utility meters, DEC, EPC certificates, the overview and development of our EMS system and carbon reduction targets. 3.

Advocate sustainable practice across all Willen Hospice activities, providing support to help further develop a sustainable culture within the organisation. 4. Lead or support key energy reduction initiatives and projects in relation to reducing our carbon footprint, including leading the Willen Hospice Environmental Champions group. 5.Provide appropriate knowledge and guidance in relation to environmental matters, also ensuring that the hospice is compliant with all environmental related legislation.

6. Provide professional, competent and timely advice, supporting all areas of the organisation on the implementation of Hospice health and safety policies, arrangements and health and safety guidance to enable appropriate decision making, and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. 7.Investigate and report on non-clinical accidents/incidents in accordance with internal procedures and relevant health and safety legislation. 8.

In conjunction with our WorkNest health & safety software, audit, monitor and review statutory compliance across a myriad of non-clinical activity, including: planned preventative maintenance, COSHH, asbestos, CDM (construction, design and management), building surveys, electrical safety, piped oxygen systems, lifting operations and lifting equipment (including passenger lifts), PUWER, legionella and operational activity. 9. Advise and lead on non-clinical health and safety training needs across the Hospice. Develop effective training programmes to meet these needs in conjunction with key stakeholders either by developing and delivering in-house training sessions and/or by sourcing external training providers.

10.Assess and review recommendations and actions taken to support all non-clinical statutory compliance. 11. Act as a member of any relevant groups and committees related to the role. 12.

Lead on the production, development and review of our health & safety and environmental related policies and procedures. 13.Review and update the hospice sustainability and health & safety intranet pages. 14. Any other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
