TM Scotland East Kilbride & Glasgow office are excited to be recruiting for one of our longest serving clients based in the heart of Glasgow who are an independent family business running for more than 75 years producing margarines and pastries.

Our client has a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Hygiene operative to add to the team working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Hygiene Operative within our client:

- Maintain the cleanliness of the offices, rest rooms, board room, meeting room, kitchens and WC facilities in ways that meet the relevant standards including company, customer, health & safety, environmental and hygiene standards always.
- Responsible for all cleaning in and around office/factorybuilding. Cleans floors and rooms. including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Stocking and supplying designated areas with consumables.
- Work in a safe, hygienic manner which is conducive to good working practice.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s Cleaning policy.
- Wear appropriate personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are performing: High visibility waste coats were applicable and safety shoes always worn.
- Achieve the required output and quality of work within the defined time
- Complete hygiene cleaning tasks in a way that maximises time and specified standards.
- Ensure that no unnecessary waste is incurred and dispose of surplus consumables, waste, scrap and non-standard product appropriately.
- Monitor chemical usage and stock take supplies and equipment required for all tasks.
- Clean equipment within the bounds of your responsibility and report defects to your manager which needs specialised maintenance.
- Report or inform to your manager all relevant information that is required to carry out your duties.
- Complete and maintain required records accurately
- Adopt and demonstrate clean as you go within your work.
- Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required.
- Maintain effective and positive communication with colleagues, and managers.

To be considered for this role of Hygiene Operator we require:

- Previous experience working within a similar role inhygiene roles.
- Excellent eye for detail with very high standard of cleaning procedures
- Able to stand for long periods of time due to nature of the role
- Ability to work independently within a busy environment.
- A reference from a previous employer within the last 2 years
- Availability to attend an induction from W/C 20.11.23
