General Foreman

**About the role**
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a **General Foreman **to join our North West Regional Business Unit based out of **Warrington** to work on a variety of projects including Highways, Coastal Defence and HS2

**What you'll be doing**
As a **General Foreman**, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

- Inputting into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments;
- Identifying future requirements for setting out and communicate to Engineering team;
- Input into weekly programme and monitor progress against KPI’s;
- Carry out Independent Inspections of their own section and of others;
- Assessment of material wastage allowances and implementation of appropriate improvement actions.

**Who we're looking for**
The following experience/qualifications are essential:

- Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately;
- Experienced in resource allocation;
- Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents;
- Experience of managing the works of direct labour and subcontractors;
- Understands the specific terms, conditions and outputs of relevant subcontractors and suppliers
