**Level 2 Food Production Operator Apprenticeship**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 Food Production Operator apprenticeship with Park Cake Bakeries.

**Training Provider**: Tameside College, Wellington Road, Ashton Under Lyne OL6 6BL

You must attend college 1 day per week to complete your studies at our Tameside One Campus - OL6 6BL. Our college has multiple transport links nearby including bus stations, metro links and train stations all within a stone's throw away. The Level 2 Food and Drinks Operator is a 12-16-month long course.

**About You**:

- No Experience required as full training will be given.
- Applicant must be Age 17+
- You must be willing to complete the full duration of the apprenticeship and attend college one day per week at Tameside College
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- May suit people who have completed a lower level of Engineering and are looking for a different pathway to take.

**Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Complete food and drink processing procedures.
- Support start up, set up, line changeovers, and shut down of food and drink production line and machinery.
- Monitor product quality.
- Prepare for oncoming shift. Provide machine handover to oncoming shifts via verbal briefing or documentation.
- Contribute to team briefings. For example, report on health and safety issues or production issues.
- Complete workplace hygiene activities in line with standards. For example, clean equipment/lines, hand-wash.
- Contribute to stock control.
- Contribute to audits - internal or external.

Note: This is an apprenticeship position, which means you will receive on-the-job training and guidance from experienced professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the food production industry.

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £5.28-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
