**Salary**:£24,000 - £31,000

**Job Location**:Warwick

**Main Purpose of Role**
- To ensure the successful delivery of high quality data and completion of contract research trials for the Agricultural, Horticultural and Amenity sectors, in line with client requirements and always in a professional and efficient manner.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Mark out field trials at suitable sites on farms in compliance to the relevant standards.
- Gather and accurately record trials data for entry into Agricultural Research Management software, presentations and reports, to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- To carry out efficient and safe sampling, assessing and harvesting of field trials.
- At times be able to troubleshoot in-field to ensure the tasks are undertaken whilst adhering to relevant acrreditaion.
- Work efficiently and accurately on pcs and tablets for recording and processing data.
- Assist the Study/Trials Manager with the maintenance and upkeep of field trials to ensure trial objectives are met and all growers are satisfied with the condition of their fields.
- At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and clients, in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain full compliance with the company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS UK’s Equality & Diversity policy.
- Suggest improvements to current operations so that the department can maximise profitability and efficiency.

**Skills & Knowledge**

**Essential**
- Computer skills; particulularly Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationship with clients, growers and other staff
- Ability to effectively solve problems
- Self motivation skills

**Desirable**
- Use of agricultural machinery
- Experience in specialised software (e.g. ARM)

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience or in-depth knowledge of the agricultural sector

**Desirable**
- 1-2 years experience with a CRO carrying out field trials in the Agricultural, Horticural and Amenity sectors
- Experience in dealing with clients

**Qualifications**:

- Full UK Driving Licence

**Desirable**
- Degree in Agriculture or relevent
- PA1 - Foundation Module for competence in the safe use of pesticides certificate.
- PA6 - Hand Held Applicator certificate.
