**Lab Technician**

**Location: York**

**Salary: £21,255**

CY Partners have an exciting opportunity for a **Lab Technician**to join an environmentally focused research agency based in York.

Working as a Laboratory Technicianyou will be responsible for the preparing, storing and delivery of samples.

Other responsibilities include:

- Receive and log in samples for analysis
- Prepare and process samples using various techniques and equipment
- General duties: Record keeping, stocking consumables, emptying waste, cleaning.
- Ensure that all equipment and materials are properly maintained and cleaned
- Collaborate with other members of the research team to ensure timely delivery of samples
- A 'can do' attitude
- An interest in working within a laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
