First Aid Lead

Priestnall School are looking to appoint an experienced First Aider to join their team in the role of First Aid Lead. In this role you will be responsible for the assessment of student and staff medical needs and welfare, administering front-line first aid and undertaking associated administration and records maintenance.

The working pattern is:
Mon, Tue & Thurs - 8.30am-3.30pm

Weds & Fri - 8.30am-2.45pm

This position is contracted on a Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

**Job Purpose**
- Assess First Aid matters presented by students and staff, administer medication where required in line with school policy
- Support students with significant health needs (diabetes, epilepsy, anaphylaxis, asthma), administering Individual Health Care Plans for students
- Liaise with internal and external health agencies, and Heads of Year as required

**Key Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience of first aid is essential
- Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
- Experience working in a similar role in a school environment would be advantageous
