Wickford, United Kingdom Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Please refer to the JD and PS for more detailed list of responsibilities. The Patient and Staff Safety Incident Support Team are looking for a compassionate, reflective and forward-thinking assistant psychologist to join the team. We are a newly established service that provide psychological support to EPUT staff who have been affected by potentially traumatic incidents at work. The assistant psychologist role is an integral part of the team; acting as the face of the service and helping qualified psychology colleagues to coordinate and deliver a responsive and attuned service to staff.

The role includes reviewing and responding to incident reports, triaging staff support needs and mobilising support responses for services, teams and individuals. You will be required to maintain a team database and complete audit projects as part of quality and developmental initiatives. A key aspect of the role involves the use of systemic thinking to formulate and contribute to psychologically informed interventions within the organisation; including some opportunities to work jointly with qualified psychology colleagues to deliver staff training and workshops. There will be some opportunities for delivering structured psychological therapy.

There will be a requirement to complete related administration. All work will take place under the supervision and management of an experienced Psychologist. This is a predominately remote role with some requirement to travel to EPUT sites. Please see Job Description and Person Specification for further details.
