**The purpose of the role is to**:

- To act as a point of contact in the academy for families in need of support.
- To manage, implement and review any support strategies in place for families who have children attending the academy.
- To help identify, and address the needs of children and families who need help to overcome barriers to learning (including attendance).
- To help families in the support of their child’s learning and well-being.
- To support parents in developing resilience and independence in accessing support and participating in school and community life (building social capital).
- To manage and coordinate a SAFeh caseload with the support of the DSL, DDSL & SENDCO/Inclusion Lead.
- To reduce the academy’s absence levels for key vulnerable pupils.
